Juventus Appoint Previous Italian National Team Boss Spalletti
The Serie A powerhouse have chosen previous Azzurri head coach Spalletti to lead the team for the rest of the term.
The experienced coach replaces the Croatian manager, who was sacked following the loss to Lazio on Sunday.
The former boss came on board in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but departed after seven months after an eight-game winless streak.
Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.
He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.
However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.
Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and secured two Russian Premier League titles with Zenit St Petersburg.
Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.
In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
